Job Description:
A national leading healthcare system based in south Florida is
now seeking an experienced Chief Medical Physicist Proton Therapy
to join their award winning organization.
Noted as one of the best healthcare systems in the region by U.S.
News and World Report, this academic institute provides top quality
care in a variety of awarded service lines. This not-for-profit
system comprises multiple acute care hospital locations and
hundreds of outpatient care locations throughout the south Florida
region.
Reporting to the Medical Physics Director, the Chief Medical
Physicist Proton Therapy will ensure the safe and effective
delivery of proton-based radiation treatments to patients and
provide leadership to Proton Therapy staff. Other responsibilities
include participating in clinical research, supporting system-wide
compliance and quality initiatives, providing training and support
to Medical Physicist staff and Radiation Oncology departments, and
overseeing equipment maintenance.
What's Needed to Succeed:
Master's degree or PhD in Medical Physics
Licensed and certified as a Therapeutic Radiological Physicist
Prior working and leadership experience is a plus!
