financial wealth.JOB DESCRIPTIONDirector of Credit & Collections
will manage our Credit & Collections department and develop our
processes into a world-class function. The Director will devise and
implement solutions that improve our cash conversion cycle,
optimize our credit risk, be accountable for updating and
administering the credit and collections policies and procedures,
and provide the reporting necessary for the business leaders to
grow their business. This role will report to the VP, Customer
Experience and interact regularly with Treasury, Sales Operations,
Billing, Legal and heads of our Sales teams.The candidate for this
role must be able to create and communicate a vision for how credit
and collections policies support profitable business growth while
balancing financial risk to the company. The role requires close
interaction with the Sales leadership and broad involvement in the
entire order-to-cash process.This position will be based in our
Miami Headquarters.Responsibilities of the Role:
- Monitor credit risk, aging AR, and other credit & collections
metrics, and identify whether credit strategy is effective and
performing as expected.
- Manage a team of credit and collections specialists.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Sales,
Finance, Legal and various business owners to ensure clear
communication with customers.
- Develop performance forecasts that take into account a variety
of economic, market, and customer-specific factors.
- Take current credit and collections processes to the next
level, including formalizing escalation procedures and
processes.
- Set objectives for the collections team that align with
Treasury, Finance & Corporate cash goals and ensure team goals are
met.
- Improve current collections metrics by effectively managing
day-to-day collections activities and motivating the teams to
identify, resolve, and mitigate account delinquencies.
- Manage bad debt expense forecasting and assessment
process.
- Be the voice of Credit and AR metrics towards senior
management, on credit risk issues, recommendations, and
progress.What you will need:
- Self-motivated, ability to analyze, create a vision and move
towards that vision with minimal guidance, make the best decisions
for the company and self-direct.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent
experience.
- 10+ years of Finance experience including credit and
collections, preferably for high-growth tech. Background in SaaS
environment, e-commerce support and credit/collections support a
plus.
- 5+ years of management experience required.
- Salesforce, NetSuite and Zendesk experience desirable.
- Domain expertise in credit underwriting, process optimization,
and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills required, ability to work
positively and collaboratively with stakeholders like Sales who are
managed to different incentives.
- Organizational talent and follow-through, knows how to identify
stakeholders, establish relationships, and exert influence to get
work done.
- Excellent analysis and decision-making skills; can balance
attention to detail with strategic planning and long-term
vision.Additional Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries concerning all elements of quote
to cash process, including customer account information/updates,
invoice queries, payment processing, credit applications and quote
creation with prompt responses confirming that the issue is being
attended to and providing updates as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining professionalism with our clients
and ensure the best customer experience with every caller.
- Update Sales and Account Management Team on specific customer
escalations, as needed.
- Update internal systems, as necessary.
